Things got ugly between two candidates for Congress when the Democrat accused his Republican opponent — a double amputee veteran — of not being “man enough to stand behind” his ads.
Florida candidate Randy Perkins attacked Brian Mast during a meeting with reporters and it was captured on camera.

This really happened, Randy Perkins, a DemocRAT with no military experience, questioning the manhood of a Brian Mast, decorated war veteran. Before that, he claimed that Mast’s record did nothing to prepare him for dealing with the country’s problems.
This will probably help Mast politically, but it’s still the most contemptible remark I’ve heard by a major candidate.

In a traditional, manly, patriotic society — in the land we used to be — this statement could be run in an ad in favor of Mast, and the results of the election would be assured.
But today the statement may evoke a shrug and a “meh” from far too many people.

Wendy Davis (Dem) did the same thing to Greg Abbott during the Governor’s race...her campaign complained Abbott didn’t STAND for anything and we should “Stand With Her”
It was a terminal mistake (one of many) for Davis.
