Turkey is well on its way toward becoming an Islamic State. The Turkish government (supported by the great bulk of the non-Kurdish Turkish populace) is NOT our friend.
I say it’s been an Islamic state for a while, and Atatürk’s secular republic is long gone. They’ve got a Hamas base there, who were involved in sending the terrorist-filled Mavi Marmara to Gaza six years ago.
