The ZH comment on branches makes no sense. The House of Representatives was supposed to be the people’s safeguard, and the judicial branch intended to be the weakest branch. That was the argument in the Federalist Papers that carried the day.
I read the “last credible branch of our government burn to the ground” to mean the Legislative, as it now completely fails to oversee State, Justice (and FBI), and the White House.
