Given that Alaska borders Canada as well as Russia and that the state government presumably had dealings with both when Sarah was governor, that was a particularly fatuous remark even for Nicolle.
Nic, you seem to be laboring under the misconceptions, a, that the gov actually wants to run for president at this point. I think she let that go, if not when she opted out of the 2012 run, certainly after. And b, even if she still wanted to run, that she has any respect for your opinion. I think she learned better than that by the end of the ‘08 run. Since you’re the one who said you guys were thinking about trying to make her not take the oath if you guys won that election, I can’t blame her. Never mind that it’s legally and constitutionally problematic, and tacky. I’m not sure how it would even have been practically doable.
