His apology is much more apt to have a bad effect on the campaign than the allegations. The rule is NEVER apologize or explain. For most, an apology is the end of a campaign.
If a non-Establishment politician regrets doing something he should tell it to his priest if Catholic and tell it to a Catholic priest if not. He should make no public reference at all except to answer a nagging MSMer’s question with , at worst, That’s past. Crooked Hillary etc.
