What are these other Republicans supposed to say/do? Their opponents are going to try to hang this around THEIR necks; I’m sure many would just as soon ignore it but can’t.
They could put it in perspective and compare this to what the Clintons have actually done. They could make an opportunity of it. Maybe they don’t want to.

The stakes are too high for these little cowards to run and hide. All they have to say is that Trump’s views of 11 years ago don’t represent the man I know and that he has apologized for those remarks.
