Trump threatened to jail Clinton if elected. These countries might do the same
CNN ^ | 10/10/2016 | Joshua Berlinger

(CNN) — Donald Trump quipped during Sunday night's debate that if he were president, Hillary Clinton would be in jail.

The comment caught many Americans off-guard. And it sounded disappointingly familiar to those living under authoritarian regimes.

But Americans of all stripes consider the peaceful handover of power to political opponents one of the most demonstrable symbols of the country's healthy democracy.

Here are some other leaders and countries that have jailed political opposition while in power.

Vladimir Putin is often accused of jailing his political opponents. A prominent example: Mikhail Khodorkovsky, a former oligarch and Putin opponent, spent 10 years in prison on charges many believe were politically motivated. He now lives in exile in Switzerland.

A truly pathetic piece of “journalism” even by CNNs patheticly low standard.

Earth to CNN: it is OK to jail felons.

YOUR candidate is the very definition of a serial felon.

Live with it, Obamaholes.

How convenient that CNN forgets the guy that Hillary Clinton threw in jail TO SUPPORT A BENGHAZI COVER STORY THAT WAS LATER REVEALED TO BE A COMPLETE LIE!

Not just CNN, the presstitutes all got the same marching orders. This is how they are trying to spin it.

Hey CNN jackass. She isn't going to be investigated and possibly jailed because she is the political opposition. It is because SHE BROKE THE LAW !!!

Hillary Clinton broke the law. Trump shouldn't have to have his Justice Department prosecute her, because Barack 0bama should already have done so. She should be in prison right now.

The media and the republicrats are all so disgusting I can’t stand to even read about their crap.

I hope the general public gives them all the biggest smack-down of their life, voting for somebody who actually believes in justice. I hope James Comey opened a lot of eyes to the banana republic that America has become. I hope the general public heard how easily Hillary lied about the emails not being deleted and bleached after the subpoena - knowing darn well that it would easily be shown to be a lie. Yet she appeals to people to go to her site for “fact checking”. Right, go to a proven liar’s website to hear “fact checking”... I hope the general public realizes what idiots she is taking them for.

As long as NDAA authorizes the indefinite detention of US citizens on US soil, we belong on the list. CNN left that nugget out.

(I know, I know. Don’t worry, they say. We have been “reassured” it will only be used on terror suspects.)

There’s a difference between going to jail for actually committing crimes (like Clinton) and going to jail for simply being the opposition. Of course Clinton has shown that she is perfectly happy with jailing people on bogus charges to protect her political career (see bad Islamic video guy after Benghazi)

Jailing someone who committed crimes is bad, but using the IRS to steal an election is good. These people are deranged.

One has to wonder — when the Clintons are criminally prosecuted, who else will they drag into the abyss with them? Who in the media, political parties, Hollywood, fed agencies?
