It’s called “good cop bad cop”.
Martha was worse, she and Hillary were both debating Trump - both lost.
To us it appeared she was buying time for Hillary as Hillary at the time looked like she was having another one of those “Where am I?” moments. It was a stall while H got her wits about her. Also Martha sounded like she was almost crying around the end of the debate - or was I mishearing?
Either way, it was clear the moderator saw hilLIARy was struggling to find words and she was just babbling, so she stepped in to save her
Trump should insist the debate moderators ask their question and then shut up in the next debate.
With a strict timer, where their microphone turns off at the end of their alloted time
Several times Hillary tried to bring Trump down but with subject matter that only would have opened another door for Trump to come in and hammer her. I can’t recall the specific incidents but every time Martha jumped on Hillary and changed the subject so Hillary wouldn’t trip on her own feet.
If she had to stand alone with no outside help she wouldn’t have lasted five minutes.
Yeah, I don’t see why they don’t just have a red light and then cut the mike when the time is up. Simple.
