Ryan says he’s focusing on keeping the House in Republican control (so he can continue his own Speakership), won’t campaign FOR Trump, until after the Nov. election.
He’s an even bigger disappointment than Bonehead.
I just don’t think Speaker Ryan and President Trump can work together, period.
The house is almost certainly going to stay under Republican control this cycle. Being an insider and knowing all that Trump was up against Ryan bet all of his marbles on the Democrats. If Hillary wins Ryan will most likely remain speaker. If Trump wins he will be asked to step down. If Ryan refuses to step down, he will be forced to step down. If Trump wins Ryan will be on the streets working as a lobbyist the next time around.
I just don’t think Speaker Ryan and President Trump can work together, period.
We are seeing right now a preview of the Speaker Ryan and POTUS Trump relationship. It will be one FU after another from Ryan to POTUS Trump. He’s safe and backed up by the media. He won’t willing give an inch to Trump, IMO. Ryan will fight for K Street to the end.
