Well, to be truthful it is probably the media making more of this than it really is. As I understand it, Ryan didn’t withdraw his endorsement but just said he wasn’t going to campaign with Trump. Ben Carson says it’s so he can campaign for down-ticket R’s.
The rumors about Ryan’s people producing the tape for the media could also be a media lie, or at least the media could use it for their own purposes, to feed the narrative of the GOP backing out on Trump - which, you might notice, is right there in Hillary’s ads now too. That sure made it into an ad quickly... Maybe too quickly...
I think the public is waking up to the lies of the media. Both the media and Congress have the lowest approval ratings ever right now. Every time Trump confronted the crooked media his poll numbers went up. If the media slams him and he exposes their lies, deceptions, and manipulations, it will only help him.
And now he’s got a bunch of Podesta emails that will prove his case for him. He’s got CNBC censoring out Joe Scarborough’s comments about the NBC/Wall Street poll being cooked.
Most of all, though, his new ad makes the point that we live in dangerous times. It’s the political silly season so what’s really happening in the world takes a back burner, but if Trump can outline just how badly Obama/Hillary have compromised world and national security, that will make all this other silliness pale by comparison. Who knows or cares if Winston Churchill used the n-word?
There’s talk in this thread about who you want in the foxhole with you. Well, the USA needs to figure out right now that we are really and truly in a foxhole - because the coup of 2008 put a foreign enemy combatant into our White House and he has used that opportunity to strengthen our enemies worldwide and import them to the front lines here, divide and radicalize our own people, and make all our defenses much, much more vulnerable.
Democrat congress, Republican congress, it makes absolutely no freaking difference.
Our daughter did just that earlier this year from California to Texas. She’s trying to convince us to do the same, but I don’t think my wife and I would enjoy the weather.

Think about it this way:
Trump has shoved the Media over the line. WAY over the line. Now, they're no different than a gang of Brown Shirts beating on a Jew, and they're doing it front of God and everybody.
He's going to push them even farther. I presume he has a plan, because he always has a plan. He had a plan for the 0bama birther punking in Washington, and he had a plan for the debate Clinton rapee punking.
There's a VERY good chance that "journothugs" might even end up in a VERY dark place in America. And I don't think they even see it.
Most of the journothugs are on Twitter, and they're being attacked. And the attacks are ramping up, and they're getting ugly. :)
