Inventing stuff is also “political malpractice” and most of the newer stuff about gropings and rape are invented totally. The betting is that this stuff cannot be effectively refuted in the short time left before the election. And even if it is the damage is done because the people will remember the charges much more clearly than the resolutions. MSM will validate all of them by repeating them as gospel even in the face of contrary proof.

Maybe they did a lot of oppo research on Trump but didn’t find anything and, unlike the democrats, knew the media wouldn’t cover for them if they made stuff up.
If the Cheap Labor Express Republicans thought they could just make it up like the Democrats do, they would have.

I agree with most here that these women claiming to be “victims” of Trump are liars and wouldn’t have shown up on any competent oppo research investigation during the primaries.
However, the tape has been around since 2005 and Billy Bush did know about the tapes existence (he bragged about it to NBC colleagues at the Olympics). His first cousin, Jeb, also had to know about the tape. I’m sure Billy turned it over to his cousin Jeb for his use, but for whatever reason Jeb or any of his PAC’s didn’t release it to an MSM organization or make a commercial out of it during the primary.
Maybe they were going to release it later in the primaries when most of the other 16 candidates would be gone and Jeb would be standing alone vs Trump, but Jeb did so horribly that he had to drop out after South Carolina.
After Jeb dropped, maybe the Bushes debated about whether to get the tape to the Cruz campaign (Cruz being close to the Bushes) or save it for use against Trump right before the general election should he be the GOP nominee for max payback against Trump for his going after both Jeb and his brother in a to them rather brutal fashion.
Looks like the payback option won.
What difference would it have made? These stories sprang to life mere days ago.

When Team Hillary creates a lot of smoke, that does not mean Trump is on fire. The tape came out first, then women started coming out of the woodwork claiming that is what Trump did to them.
One of the most prominent ones, given air time by Anderson Cooper, even said she consensually kissed Trump and allowed him to "grope" her breasts (haha, grope! is it groping if agreed to?) for 15 minutes. When he tried to go further, she considered that assault. She is linked to the Clinton Foundation, coincidentally, and had lots of things to say about men in general. Sounded nutty to me.
Are you a man? Did you ever have relations with women outside of marriage? Did you ask permission or get written consent before you touched each body part? How does a person know the difference between making moves and assault? This is beyond absurd.

Donald Trump is as the news goes quite possibly the most prolifically covered private citizen ever, in every section with the possible exception of weather, and far from all of it complimentary. If you were one of his opponents this year and you couldn’t take his public record and yours and sell the case that you were the better choice, when could you ever? If you were a senior staffer for one of those guys and you couldn’t make that case...what all is it exactly that they’re paying you for?
