I have never seen so many establishment Republicans trying so hard to LOSE an election.

The morons seem to think that only they can pick up the pieces. Fact is, if they elect Hillary, the Republican party is DEAD.
Because the Republican and the Democrat parties are in bed together no question about it... the bushes and the clintons are up each other’s butts 24/7. they own the Beltway inside and out. they want Clinton in and I guarantee you they’ll run jeb again when it’s “his turn”.
That's because in '08 and '12 they knew they'd picked one guy who would do the job for them. Trump messed that one up for them, so now they have to pull up their britches and LOSE the election themselves - can't rely on the guy at the top anymore, damn it! :-)
