One thing that really ticks me off is the tree huggers and EPA (same thing with the current EPA) won’t allow clearing of deadwood, brushes, etc. in forests. There have been fires all over the west that I think would not have started or may not have been as bad if the clearing were allowed. It’s not just the Obummer admin (though I love to blame them every chance I get), I think it’s been going on for some years. Same with not being able to cut down a tree on one’s own property unless permission is granted by the city.

They just about killed the logging business in my area.

Only people doing much logging is the Apache tribe on their land which is exempt for the most part from the EPA.

If I remember well, President Bush talked about the need to clear the underbrush but environmental agencies prevented that.
