Must be a disease! There really is a simple explanation...
On the opposite side of the Earth's orbit of the Sun, there is a clone Earth which we cannot see. On that one, 'Rat votes are switched to Republican.
Of course, on that Earth, Republicans are the ones that want to shred their Constitution, and the Democrats are the Patriots.
