The Waterford Township board has approved a resolution to stop participating in a federal resettlement program for Syrian refugees until security issues are addressed.
The Detroit News reports the board on Monday cited congressional testimony of federal authorities that refugees from “failed states such as Syria cannot be adequately vetted to ensure that they do not have terrorist ties because the necessary records do not exist.”

First thing I thought was, ‘Good for them’ - followed closely by, ‘What liberal weapon will be wielded against them to make them come to heel?’
The board’s action may be moot, because states cannot legally bar refugees; the federal government has jurisdiction over refugee placement.
No “immigrants” will be located in or near any Congresscritter’s neighborhoods.
Obama will double down and send hordes of Somalis instead. He will make them pay.
I live here, this is my hometown! I’m so glad since I don’t want to get attacked while walking to the store or going out on my evening walk.
