The Hillary Clinton campaign announced endorsements from 80 black leaders in Florida in advance of the March 15 Democratic primary.
The 80 African-American elected officials and community leaders from across the state who support Clinton includes Burnadette Norris-Weeks, who the Clinton campaign’s news release described as “Broward Elections Attorney.” Norris-Weeks is a lawyer who serves as the West Park city attorney and general counsel for Broward Supervisor of Elections Brenda Snipes and on the board reviewing the Broward County charter.
County Commissioner Mark Bogen has criticized Snipes, concerned about Norris-Weeks contributing to or otherwise being involved in political campaigns. We wonder why Bogen wasn’t condemning Snipes.
