Huma wouldn't have to e-mail them anything. The e-mails in question were apparently sent from a U.S. State Department e-mail account to her Yahoo e-mail address.

All she would need to do is give them the password to her Yahoo e-mail address, and they could access those messages anywhere around the world.

This is how Podesta's e-mails have been exposed for public view. His e-mail account wasn't "hacked" by anyone. The messages were simply opened and printed or copied by someone who had his password.
