“If they don’t speak English...” then they shouldn’t be citizens and shouldn’t have the right to vote!
I thought that in order to become a US citizen, you had to demonstrate an ability to speak and understand English!
There is no reason for us to learn speak Spanish, or any other language. Although it doesn't hurt if someone wants to learn another language.
I believed that at one time, in order to vote, you had to be able to read, write and understand the constitution. Now you don’t have to have the last part to be chief justice of the supreme court.
