Call Hillary Clinton’s Bluff

The FBI director and the Democratic nominee are getting what they deserve.

Here are four words this columnist never thought he would type: Hillary Clinton is right.

Mrs. Clinton is right, at least, to this extent: When an FBI director links a presidential candidate to a criminal investigation 11 days out from the election, he owes the American people more than a vague promise to get back to us down the road.

Mrs. Clinton has responded by calling on Mr. Comey to release the emails the bureau has discovered on a home computer used by her aide, Huma Abedin. She demands this only because she is confident it will never happen.

Certainly there exist many practical obstacles to releasing the emails uncovered, including the inadvertent disclosure of classified information. Nevertheless, as unlikely as release may be, the case for more public information has become crucial now that the Justice Department has indicated this Clinton investigation, like the one before it, will go nowhere.

How do we know this? Mr. Comey may speak of going forward. But the objections of Justice suggest that it will again ensure that any investigation will be hindered by a lack of search warrants and subpoenas—and that whatever the FBI may turn up will never be put before a grand jury.

Justice inadvertently gave us a sign of just how important these tools are in a press release earlier this month touting the guilty felony plea by retired Marine Gen. James Cartwright for lying to the FBI in connection with the unauthorized disclosure of classified information. In it, Justice boasts about using all the tools at its disposal to get the general, including “subpoenas, search warrants and document requests”—tools the FBI mostly lacked while investigating Mrs. Clinton.

This sudden change in the FBI’s FOIA policies indicated to me that the honorable FBI mutineers have taken command of the J. Edgar Hoover Building as part of the intel community “counter-coup” described in the video above.

If this is true, Comey was forced to decide: join us, or go to prison with the Clinton Crime Family.

The article has one very important failing.

A president Trump will get to the bottom of it all using AG Christi or Special Prosecutor Rudy Giuliani.

The current work is ground level grunt work necessary for the eventual prosecution. (assuming Hillary is still alive and not living in Brazil)

Comey owes us nothing. In the very least, Clinton could provide the emails or the affidavit the FBI used to obtain the warrant from a Federal Judge.

Hillary knows full well the FBI CANNOT talk about this case now that it has been criminally referred by a Federal Judge. It is no longer an inquiry.

My oh my, how the press continues to protect this woman....

This is preposterous! The FBI had enough to seek and indictment before Comey gave her the pass in July. Unless he’s now decided to go for a kill shot of Espionage or Treason, there’s enough evidence to charge the whole damn lot of them with gross negligence in mishandling government communications, destruction of documents, lying to the FBI, and obstruction. We need a grand jury to hand down the indictments for everyone (including Lynch, McCabe, and Obama), obtain a Special Prosecutor for the case, and throw the whole corrupt bunch under the wheels of justice. That done, the FBI can take their time sorting through the RICO investigation of the Clinton crime family and any additional charges associated with the pedophilia suspicions. These are all separate crimes and should be treated as such. People have this ridiculous idea that it has to be a single omnibus investigation and prosecution. That’s not how crime, punishment, and justice works.

Hillary Clinton is in a fight for her life. The polling is tightening up, at least one key Democratic pollster is reassessing his support, and the FBI has reopened their investigation into her email server after discovering 650,000 “potentially relevant” emails on the computer of Anthony Weiner, husband of longtime Clinton aide Huma Abedin.

On Monday, Clinton appeared to demote Abedin from a “trusted aide” to “one of my staffers” for her direct involvement in the newly-discovered batch of emails. WIBC Morning News Host Tony Katz likened the move to Hillary throwing Huma under the bus:
