Virginia is a really schizophrenic place - Northern Virginia, the Washington DC collar counties, and the rest of the state, which is still orientated toward Christianity and older values. Think Liberty University in Lynchburg.
I’m always a little amazed at Northern Virginia. I belong to one of the largest (and very popular) evangelical churches in Northern Virginia. It’s HUGE, with a very big outreach ministry and very solidly Bible based. I keep scratching my head saying, “How do the liberals in Northern Virginia stand a chance with my church in the way!” :-D
Yep.
NOVA (Fairfax, Arlington Alexandria, Falls Church, and Loudoun County, to an extent) has become infiltrated with “enlightened” people such that when coupled with the demographics of some areas of Richmond and Tidewater, the rest of the state cannot overcome.
Texas' marriage amendment referendum passed in every single county (254 counties in the state) except for Travis County, where Crazy Austin is located.
Although I am a Buddhist, I have Richmond covered. Weapons are clean and I have a few thousand rounds. Shout out to my followers at the NSA and other agencies: "Y'all have a good time, ya hear?". VA is a disappointment all these years after I moved here from NJ.
