Mine was too. His teachers were horrified. They made it a rule that the children may not discuss politics, but mine told me that his teacher said Trump wants to keep Mexicans out of the USA and that most Mexicans are nice people. I have said very little about it to him since then, but when he told that he had discovered a third candidate he could vote for, Johnson, I said: “We’ll I’m for Trump.”
For Halloween, one of my son’s middle school classmates dressed up as Trump and was mockingly saying “build the wall, build the wall!”
My son and his friends sang, “If you want to build a wall, clap your hands, if you want to build a wall, clap your hands, if you want to build a wall, you build it really tall, if you want to build a wall clap your hands.” And the other boys were cheering to this song.
The liberal kid was horrified that anyone much less a group endorsed what he was trying to mock.
