The number of abortions performed in Russia is unfortunately quite high.

If this was true, anyone who publically announced it should be shot.

Oh, yeah? I’m looking on the bright side. You are 50% correct.

The Russians were asked to be there by the government of Syria.

The US was not asked to be there and is only there because Clinton and Obama hatched a plan to support certain elements of their jihad.

Respectfully disagree as to who is mental. Our government is the one who seems unhinged. I am sick of what we’ve done to the ME..selling arms to friendly terrorists to enrich the coffers of our overlords?

The propaganda we are fed by our politicians and their minions in the media tops anything I ever saw when I was in BiH during the Balkan War.

Rather amazing, seeing that there are no photo ops when Putin closes a Christian church.

What is it with this "invitation" crap? Was Russia invited by Ukraine?

Superpowers do.

I think that is a good observation, but what about NATO or the U.N. Have either of those entities signed on?

I only ask this because you mentioned the international situation.

Personally, I don’t think we should have ever been there, or arming or funding anyone?

Now we’re in a situation where to do the right thing we have to back down. That can send some terrible signals to nations around the world.

Should we do it? Well, yes I think so. We should never have been there, and Russia has been a fifty or more year ally of Syria to my knowledge.

This is what inept leadership garners you. They get you in conflicts you should never have been in. Then they escalate things because they don’t want to be seen as being soft or backing down.

Obama/Clinton/Kerry... three of the biggest buffoons foreign policy wise I’ve ever seen.

Syria, my man, Syria.

But wait, I'm willing to hear what you have to say about Ukraine.

Yes, and all of the consequences will be laid at Trump’s feet as if he was the one who started it.

While I agree with your focus there, I don’t see it as directly being seen by Putin as a threat to Russia.

The release of the information in question on this thread could easily be seen that way.

I don’t want to move off that point.

Debating the Middle East is fine, and I agree with you there, but it’s kind of off point.

Thanks, I’m here. You have it with this “invitation” thing. Just pointing out that Russia was not invited to Ukraine, like the USA was not invited to Syria.

Gee I wish I could give some information about the question you pose, but I can't. It has become so twisted in the last few years. Because Turkey is blaming the US for the recent coup attempt, Russia and Turkey are growing closer, even though Turkey is supposed to be a member of NATO. At the same time the Germans are becoming reluctant to go along with sanctions because it is hurting German business. And, of course, France got out of NATO years ago.

Congrats, your question is as good as it gets, but I'm still digging for answers.

I do believe we are looking in the wrong direction. It is China who has already used cyber warfare on the US. They put a whooping on Wall Street a few years ago and have demonstrated their superiority in the field. I don’t know of anything Russia has done to match Chine’s.

Yes, you're right. In fact Ukraine wants the US to help with economic revitalization. The Russians along the eastern border occupied the industrialized area of Ukraine. US markets have to be opened to the Ukraine to insure growth and prosperity.

As we type, Turkey and Russia have made a pipeline deal to bypass Ukraine.

I don’t give a hoot what the U. N. thinks, but as far as an international issue, it does have a bearing.

Less critically, I look at N. A. T. O. in somewhat similar ways, but at least it is at least on pretense made up of our allies, so it does matter.

What critical need was there to involve ourselves in Syria? It wasn’t threatening it neighbors. It wasn’t threatening the U. S. or Europe. It was threatening an uprising inside it’s borders, but what would we do in the same situation. We’d of course take hostile action.

Syria wasn’t singling out Americans, Israelis, Europeans, or Christians for harsh measures.

We had no business there whatsoever.

Obama, Clinton, McCain, Graham, and a few dead brained others thought this was a swell idea. And since, we’ve found out what a swell idea it wasn’t.

We agree on that 100%. I only asked the international status of our military operation there, to have understanding if Obama could be seen as participating in an international incident. I didn’t know the answer either. I thought you might.

I appreciate the nice response.
