On the surface, the establishment survey print of 161K jobs was just good enough when taking into account the 44,000 in upward revisions to August and September jobs. However, the household survey was less impressive, with the number of workers employed declining by 43,000 to 151,925 even as the number of persons unemployed declined from 7,939K to 7,787K.
So how did the unemployment rate drop? Because contrary to expectations that people are rushing back into the labor force, in October the number of Americans who were not in the labor force rose by a substantial 425,000 to 94,609, the highest print in the series since May, and suggests that the exodus of Americans out of the labor force has resumed.

Best economy ever......
It can't come soon enough, as far as I'm concerned.
One of the biggest news stories of the decade is one that hasn't gotten much coverage at all. It involved a move by the government of California to seek a blanket exemption from one particular ObamaCare provision that prohibits illegal aliens from buying insurance on an ObamaCare exchange.
This is an unbelievable turn of events, when you dig into the details of the story. California isn't asking the U.S. government for permission to have illegal aliens covered under taxpayer-funded programs. They've already been doing that for years. California is asking for permission to let illegal aliens buy insurance through an ObamaCare exchange. This tells me that they are so desperate to get new enrollees signed up because more and more U.S. citizens are just walking away from any sense of obligation they may have felt about buying insurance for themselves.
To me, this is a clear sign of a system that is quickly unraveling.
Link’s not working for some reason
Among the first things I would do as a new president would be to push trough an ‘Honest Accounting Practices Act’ that would mandate sane computational methods for the budget, labor statistics, etc. Existing figures would be recomputed using this new baseline, retroactively, for the previous 10 years to form a baseline for future comparisons.
One of the saddest groups is the people over 55 who are out of work and resort to disability or tapping retirement savings in order to ride it out until they can collect their Social Security.
You NEVER hear this from the Hillary camp, but you do hear the fairy tale unemployment figure of 4.9%.

see if this works
More than anything, people vote with their wallets. Theirs are empty. Obama/Hillary cannot win.
I guess we will have a better idea of what is going on after the enrollment period ends. Some people in my county that pay full fare may not have a choice. Rates went up 40% to 50%. A fair amount of people live paycheck to paycheck and simply won't be able to absorb those increases.
Rush this week said when Bush left there were 80 million not in the workforce. Now it is 94 million. Difference 14 million plus those working have had their hours cut and have zero health insurance under obamacare as the deductible is YUGE.
