Nobody likes line cutters and illegals are the ultimate in line cutters.

Bingo.

The US media tells me that Hispanic immigrants, who are full US citizens, and absolutely entitled to vote in US elections — people who adhered to the laws, filled out the paperwork, paid all the fees, waited the full amount of time — people who jumped through all the necessary hoops in order to become full US citizens who are absolutely entitled to vote ...

The US media tells me that these people will vote for full amnesty so that anyone can walk over the border and get all the goodies with no effort at all?

I’ve never bought that particular line of reasoning.

A few months back a caller to the Laura Ingraham show, who came to the US from Brazil, said he opposed illegal immigration and amnesty because he did not want Brazil to follow him to America. Pretty self-interested, but a rational attitude.

I've never understood why it is assumed by so many on the Left that legal Hispanic immigrants are enthusiastic supporters of illegal immigration.

It just makes no sense to me.

Add it to the ash heap of Liberal positions that make no sense to me.

For over twenty years I have been saying that Hispanics believed in the rule of law, and would back a crackdown on illegal immigrants.

Now the media has found out it's true. LOL

Of course they didn't release this until the day of the election. Several months ago would have been nice!

Also heartening here, the desire for legal immigration to be cut in half. I say zero for thirty years while we assimilate, with some exceptions.

This has always been the case.
Cheap Labor Express Republicans have been lying to us for years telling us that in order to get the hispanic vote we had to abandon the rule of law and surrender the country.
It was BS then and it is BS now.
Rubio, Flake, McCain, Graham and the rest of the stooges of the Cheap Labor Express have been lying to us to keep the borders open and the laws unenforced.
The Bush family are largely responsible for the 30 million illegal aliens that are here because they refused to enforce the laws and borders.

I wish Trump had been able to talk more about excessive levels of legal immigration during the campaign. This poll is yet another showing that most Americans (across party and racial lines) favor lower levels of legal immigration, and oppose the massive (unadvertised) increases that Hillary supports.

Because the Republican candidates since the 1986 amnesty have been a gang of panderers and globalist tools on immigration issues, this is actually the first election where voters, including Hispanics, have had the choice of a major party candidate who unequivocally opposes illegal immigration and all the lawlessness that goes with it.

That might bring many surprises today.
