ESPN is doing a very bad job of pretending it isnt deathly afraid of rapidly declining subscriber numbers. At the end of October, Nielsen released its monthly television subscriber numbers report, and it showed a loss of 621,000 subscribers for ESPN and similar losses for ESPN2 and ESPNU.
.........
In 2013, ESPN had over 99 million subscribers. Today, it has just under 89 million............ But this year they will miss out on somewhere around $800 million in revenue they wouldve otherwise earned if they still had 2013's subscriber numbers.
” ESPN’s liberalism and political correctness is hurting the network. “
Yep. Trump has tangentially emboldened even the rabid sports fan to sports leftism : )
I like good news...
I'm an unwilling subscriber. But, there are other channels we DO watch that are bundled with it.
By contract, my provider has to include it in the "enhanced" tier. So, until cable and satellite companies stop caving into the programming cartels, I have to pay it.
Yep! That’s the image I made mine from!
I make it a point to leave any room broadcasting the cr*p from that cr*p network.
And to let those there know why.
Go to Fox Business Network! Stuart Varney is on now. Lou Dobbs will be on later and Neil Cavuto.
Serious discussion and not skewed toward Hillary Clinton.
We cut the cord. Cell for phone, HD antenna for local channels, Roku for the rest. We saved about $150/mo.
I cut them last month. Happy about it too. Same with Fox news.
The problem for them is rights fees continue to go up and their product is being practically given away on streaming services like Watch ESPN.
ESPN is the only reason I have cable, but I am reaching my limit as to what I’m willing to put up with. I watch most of my college games on ESPN. The Obama hour specials are making me puke.
Sling.com also forces them on you in their cheapest package.
I dropped cable when osambo won the first election.
I got Sling TV, where I get ESPN and ESPN2 plus
twenty some more channels. No cable.
Twenty bucks a month. Not bad-hate cable.
ESPNBC = MSNBC with a little more sports
Kinda dumb to lecture sports fans on the evils of guns, for starters.
