Learning to handle disappointment in life is a valuable check on the list of becoming a stronger person. Your son’s teacher sounds like she’s been surrounded by bubble wrap her entire life.

Prof. Jane-Marie Law, Asian, Near Eastern and religious studies, said she cancelled her “Introduction to Japan and Religion” lecture, because she was “so upset and worried I would break down, thinking about how dangerous the move the American electorate — half of them — made last night is.”

Prof. Jane-Marie Law, Asian, Near Eastern and religious studies, is not a free-thinker. Rather, she evidently lives a sheltered existence in a bubble of group-think so stultifying that she has never felt the need to develop any critical thinking skills whatsoever.

Surrounded and protected by a strictly-imposed orthodoxy based on a monoculture of acceptable ideology that would make The Stepford Wives seem like freedom, Jane-Marie Law is comfortable in her bigoted world-view with her leftist blinders on, and would never consider doing anything as radical and dangerous as venturing out into the real world where adults can think of and discuss big thoughts.
