The abject stupidity of the "race card" really comes out at a time like this.

In sharp contrast, eight black players I spoke with expressed the sentiment that the Trump election was one of the ugliest moments in American history and was about white America wanting to keep blacks, and other people of color, as one black player said, "in our place."

This country has had a black president for the last eight years ... and yet the result of the current presidential election in which there weren't any blacks on either major party ticket is supposedly a case of "keeping blacks in their place?" WTF?

...I found out this morning on the news that many blacks think Make Ameria Great Again is racist...

I have slowly come to realize that even though most conservatives are willing to spell out exactly what individual attributes made America great and prosperous, and welcome people of all races into our prosperity, many blacks want no part of this. They want to live their own culture but be accepted "as is" into society and be as prosperous as everyone else.

There is a huge problem here because the culture they like, with no respect for education and a celebration of defiance to authority, does not lead to either prosperity or personal success.

The general feeling among the six white players with whom B/R communicated was that the Trump election was good for the country and happened because Americans wanted change and a fixing of economic issues. This mirrors my discussions last night with two black co-workers (who are good guys and not BLM types). They see Obama's legacy as every black person's legacy so any criticism of it is met as a racial attack.

"Make America Great Again." What is that saying to black people?, I was told. What was so great about where we were? These two co-workers make close to six figures and definitely did quite well under Obama.

I admit it was an eye-opening perspective. The other issue that upsets them is "law and order" which they translate into cops shooting unarmed black people (as both relate their own police encounters). Their hatred for law enforcement colors their opinions about everything else.

Of course, all these police shootings and riots are taking place under Obama. But don't tell them that.
