Pence is the luckiest human being on the planet. Plucked from near obscurity while facing a difficult re-election bid and now look at him. I wonder what all the other Republicans who disdainfully rejected being Trump’s running mate, often pre-emptively, are thinking now.
These guys are total world class second to none champions.

BTW, Conservative Treehouse was a great site to visit when I was feeling pessimistic during the campaign. Always good for a bracing dose of optimism.

It is not yet 72 hours since Trump won, and he is taking charge and on a tear like a wrecking ball so he can rebuild.

I’ve been thinking the same. Carson knew. He didn’t blow it like the others. Trump squared off against a lot of hate from ALL sides. I couldn’t hold up against .0001% of the pressure. For the first time in 8 years, I’m proud of our administration...even in its prenatal form. I’m feeling some hope.
Picking Mike Pence was such a brilliant move. Maybe a bit too mild mannered to fight off Trump and even Cruz for the top spot in 2016 but he will be ready in 2024. But wise to drop out early this time around.
My first choice in 2016 and a huge asset to Trump. Brilliant.
Yes, I think he feels a certain amount of loyalty to Christie, but he's no longer Chair.
