I think it would be awesome. Maybe keep northern California but give the southern half to Mexico.
Right after they pay California’s share of the national debt (which I hear is a lot) they are free to go but you don’t get to run up your debt and then leave.
Newsflash - The bottom half already belongs to mexico. The signage is in spanish, the restaurants are all mexican and many TV and radio commercials are now in spanish.
No U.S. funding at all. They have to take care of themselves and we know how long it takes runaway teenagers to call their parents once they run out of money, food, shelter, etc...: )
