A driver who attacked a Florida sheriff's deputy Monday morning was shot and killed by a bystander who warned him to stop beating the officer, according to a report.

This keeps getting reposted, but I don’t care. I love it!
At that point, WINK reported, another driver got out of his car and ran to the scene. He told the suspect that he'd shoot him if he didn't stop beating the deputy.
"[He] refused to get off the officer and the officer kept yelling, 'shoot him, shoot him, shoot him,' Holditch said.
When the suspect didn't stop his attack, the third man shot him three times. The deputy was not hit. The suspect later died.
Maybe someone can help me. I tried to see if this article had been posted before by typing “Passerby shoots” into the search box in the top right corner. It wasn’t found.

It has been my experience that when doing a search by TITLE, one must only enter ONE WORD.
“passerby shoots” Returns one thread about someone fleeing to Switzerland.
“passerby” returns all the threads about this incident.
Actually, Google does a pretty good job of searching for FR content.
Well... the officer did clearly state "Shoot him, shoot him, shoot him". That's three orders to shoot. Three shots makes perfect sense.
Yes, but it’s not good. Actually, it’s the premise of the site set-up that is not good for searching. “Keyword” is best but is completely dependent on what people put in, and what you think could work. Poor.
The perp’s family will still get a lawyer and sue.
Of the numerous threads about this incident, this is the first I’ve seen where it’s reported that the officer saying “Shoot him.”

Are you kidding me? Charges? How about praise for a job well done.
I ponder this situation from time to time. The downside as I see it other arriving cops assume you are the perp and open fire on you.
