MARRAKESH, Morocco (Reuters) - U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said on Tuesday action on climate change has become "unstoppable" and predicted that U.S. President-elect Donald Trump would drop plans to quit a global accord aimed at weaning the world off fossil fuels.
...
"I am sure he will make a ... wise decision," Ban said, saying that climate change was having severe impacts from the Arctic to Antarctica. He noted this year is on track to be the warmest year since records began in the 19th century.

The world be better off dropping this phony climate change stuff. China and India don’t want it. Russia doesn’t give a crap. And, now, sanity has revisited the USA.

They believe that they can pressure him to change his mind for their benefit. I sincerely hope that Trump places “Defund the United Nations” on his To Do list. I am beyond tired of funding this sanctimonious, government-subsidized debating society.

Action is not unstoppable. I think that’s a law of thermodynamics.

One thing I have always admired about the left is their defiance right up to the end, even after it is clear they lost. Remember the governor of illinios?

“Climate Change” is all about taking resources from the United States and Europe, and passing it through the U.N., where they would take about 50%, to pass the rest to third world dictators.

Stupid.

Well, iffin’ it be ‘unstoppable’, why should DJT be concerned about it?
Words have meaning.

We need an “End the UN” movement to get that building full of America hating dictators out of this country and never give another US Dollar to it.

This is just another manifestation of the world’s penchant for getting America to pay for everything. Moon can go pi$$ up a rope for all I care. In fact I’d vote to remove the UN HQ from this country in a heartbeat. I understand Mogadisu is a wonderful place.
As for NATO, ALL the members need to start ponying up the 2% of their respective GDP’s and at the same time America should immediately reduce ours from 3.6% to 2.0%. WTF? Why has this country gone around since the end of WWII with a kick me sign affixed to our backsides? We’ve been indirectly bankrolling these socialist a$$holes panoply of social giveaway programs.

Rubbish. In 2015, the UN's top climate official publicly revealed that climate change is an excuse to undo the Industrial Revolution:

"This is probably the most difficult task we have ever given ourselves, which is to intentionally transform the economic development model, for the first time in human history.

"This is the first time in the history of mankind that we are setting ourselves the task of intentionally, within a defined period of time to change the economic development model that has been reigning for at least 150 years, since the industrial revolution. That will not happen overnight and it will not happen at a single conference on climate change, be it COP 15, 21, 40 - you choose the number. It just does not occur like that. It is a process, because of the depth of the transformation."
