The left has wanted to crush (pardon the pun) the Greek system on campii even when I was at uni in the 80’s. They are jealous as hell. They used to call themselves “GDIs”. Gawd D@mned Independents. Sororities always had the pretty, motivated gals and fraternities had the ‘manly, handsome dudes’ (even tho there were some gay ones....but that was kept quiet).
