Any counter arguments with backup links are appreciated. (Was sent a link to this article by liberal relative with whom I have had an ongoing discussion about the paid protesters.)
I’d rather learn why the Washington Post wanted me to think Donald Trump was an illegitimate candidate for President.

Yep....everyone took their bus to the protest (rolling eyes)
C’mon ChiComs. Nuke NYC and save America.
Thanks for that video.
I have used that argument with my liberal family member but she has come back saying these buses were NOT for protesters but were for some other purpose.
Because they are. Now go suck an egg WaPo.
NYC is definitely a swamp that needs to be drained.
Might have something to do with the Craig’s list ads offering pay for protests !
How does your liberal relative feel about the Oregon protesters who were arrested and it turns out none of them were registered or voted in the election?
There are good articles around here about the Craigslist ads that have been run seeking protesters. Do a search on “Craigslist.”
Honestly, I don’t give a damn if they are or aren’t because it doesn’t change anything. We won big and big changes are coming. If anything, this protesting just reinforces what we have been saying about the left all along.
Thanks. I have seen the Craigslist ads. Here is what the article says about these ads:
There are clearly progressive organizations that are hoping to use Trump’s election as a tool for organizing. Advocacy groups often hire staff to help organize activities around elections, which appears to be what those Craigslist ads are for. The phone number on several that were passed around link back to the Community Outreach Group, which was mostly hiring for campaign work. MoveOn is certainly hoping to leverage the current moment to its advantage, which includes trying to raise funds from Trump’s win, as its main webpage suggests. Yes, it supports the protests and encourages its members to participate; that’s organizing. That said, the idea that money pours into progressive groups so that they can hire folks to dispatch around the country lacks any grounding in reality.
What retort can I give to my liberal family member about this “explanation” of the Craigs list ads?
Writer says most protesters voted against Trump.
Okay, they had their say in voting and democracy worked.
All they have to do is wait less than 4 years and they
can do it all over.
YES - I have included that in my reply (she is sending me these articles on email). She won’t be able to refute that one.
Why? Because the are.
Check out my tagline; it says it all about lib-progs.
Yes, I know they are. My liberal relative keeps insisting the protests are due to genuine alarm felt by millions over President Trump’s victory.
My responses have been to cite articles that have been linked here on FR and on Drudge Report.
She came back with this article today.
Well, it is amazing that they always have the same signs. Hmmmm.
He says that since the protests in New York City probably weren't paid, no protestors were paid at any time or place.
That doesn't work so well for Portland, for example...where many protestors were from out of area.
Protestors during the primaries were paid.
