If Cotton were to be nominated as defense secretary then I could see two or more Democrat senators putting a hold on his nomination and making sure it never saw the light of day. Cassandra Butts in reverse.

NOOO!!!
I prefer Duncan Hunter.

Should I have not sent in my resume? I owned a vending machine route once. :)

I forgive Tom his big #NeverTrump summer adventure. This was a very unusual election year. Tom Cotton has impressed me before with his poise and clarity of expression. Maybe he will be ready for that job. I had thought that General Flynn was scheduled to receive it though.

Cotton does have a decent resume but could use some seasoning at a higher level of administration before being SecDef or POTUS.

Cotton is too valuable in the Senate. He is the only one who voted against the Corker bill disaster.
Ayotte is too RINO for any consideration of any job.

Ralph Peters lost much when he came out right before election saying he could never support Trump. I was SOoooo miffed. He’s a local guy. Born and raised right over the mountain from me, and dead on 99% of the time
He screwed the pooch on his Not Trump statement. Sad really.

How long will this collection of idiots talk about Kelly Ayotte? There is NO chance she would be appointed SecDef, none, zero. Probably not Cotton either. Sessions or one of the retired generals.

Cotton was never a Never Trumper. He spoke at the convention, etc. You’re probably thinking of Senator Ass from Nebraska.

I want an administrator. This is the most complex job outside the presidency itself.

Those Senate seats are too hard to win. Get a gummer who’s ready to move on.
