It’s a stealth destroyer it don’t need no stinking weapons ,it can hide ,this had to be Obama’s idea
But how does all of this promote equality of women, gays, and transgender sailpersons in the Navy?
The destroyer already has 80 cells carrying a mix of Tomahawk, Standard, and ASROC missiles. What does it need this for?
The US needs advanced heavy firepower.

The coolest, I don’t know how practical it actually is/was, concept I saw in recent years was the proposal of the arsenal ship.
It was supposed to hold something absurd like 300+ cruise missiles. Basically though it had to return for servicing after firing its payload and was a one shot done for the war type system.
Honestly though, how many wars/conflicts would we get in where we’re hurling 300+ cruise missiles at a time.
