Fashion designer Sophie Theallet is urging her colleagues in couture to follow her example by refusing to “dress” the future first lady Melania Trump.
“As one who celebrates and strives for diversity, individual freedom and respect for all lifestyles, I will not participate in dressing or associating in any way with the next First Lady,” Theallet wrote, reports Elle. “The rhetoric of racism, sexism, and xenophobia unleashed by her husband’s presidential campaign are incompatible with the shared values we live by. I encourage my fellow designers to do the same.”

Yes she does. And from my understanding, the rag industry is a cutthroat business. And the Trump women are well known in those circles. So there should be plenty of opportunists who would be more than happy to take the business, and do it well.

The Trump's can buy the best folks in the business (with real talent instead of some of the Halloween costumes so many put on display) and have them on-hand 24/7/365 without blinking - they only hurt themselves and I can dig it.
The wife of a multibillionaire and President will have absolutely no trouble hiring a personal designer, so this clown can take a long walk on a short pier.

I suppose they have the Freedom to do so. It just means some other designer will have a chance to rise to the top in the fashion industry. Somebody will be interested.
