Their party was called, “The National Socialist Workers Party” NAZI was street slang for the name.

Constantly referring to Trump and his followers as “nationalists” is a subtle way of linking them with Hitler and his followers - they formed the National Socialist party, and beyond that one explanation for the horrors of Nazi Germany has been that their blind love and allegiance to the homeland was what led to the fanaticism and outrages of the regime, and hence their “nationalism” which the progressives hope to bond to the Trumpians - libs, on the other hand seem okay with the term “sovereign”, as in “sovereign wealth”, so maybe Trump should start referring to his movement as involving “sovereignists”.....
