“Still, the encounter crystallized concerns that Mr. Trump, emboldened by his victory, would refuse to abide by the traditional dynamic of a president and the journalists who cover him, a naturally adversarial relationship that is nevertheless based on some level of mutual trust.”

What a crock. The very idea that there is some “traditional dynamic” that defines the president/press relationship, and which transcends the blatant double standard in their coverage of republican presidents vs their coverage of democrat presidents.

Ironically, this article about the press missing the point - totally misses the point.

“based on some level of mutual trust.”

Under What Circumstance would Donald J Trump assign ANY level of ‘trust’ to these propogandists typing or the democrat party?

The entire problem with the media that was Deeply Suspected before, but confirmed with all doubts erased by the WikiLeaks. They actually Colluded with the democrat party to fix the presidential election. And they have been doing it for Decades without any fear of discovery or prosecution. They grew so powerful and so comfortable with that power that they wielded it fearlessly without embarrassment or even a hint of remorse.

“Such as it is, the press has become the greatest power within the Western World, more powerful than the legislature, the executive and judiciary. One would like to ask: by whom has it been elected, and to whom is it responsible?”

Holy crap, what a crock indeed!!!!!

“mutual trust” my keister! The only time that is even remotely true is when there is a liberal in the White House, and then, only if it doesn’t interfere with the self-interest of any journalist involved.

Good God. I cannot believe these people. They actually believe their own BS.
