Editor’s note: During an interview on NBC’s “Meet the Press” Sunday, Sen. Chuck Schumer declared, “We’re not going to help [Trump] build his wall.” Schumer was one of the Democrats to support construction of a wall in 2006.

**SNIP**

Then-Sens. Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and Hillary Clinton were among the 26 Democrats who approved the bill. Supporters also included Sen. Chuck Schumer, who is set to take over leadership of the Senate for Democrats in 2016.

Other Democrats in the Senate who voted for the wall in 2006 are Sens. Barbara Boxer (Calif.), Sherrod Brown (Ohio—then in the House), Tom Carper (Del.), Dianne Feinstein (Calif.), Barbara Mikulski (Md.), Bill Nelson (Fla.), Debbie Stabenow (Mich.), and Ron Wyden (Ore.).

Anybody else here thrilled that Chuckles is replacing Harry Reed?

The face of the democrat senate minority party is now Chuck Schumer, Dick Durbin, and Tim Kaine.

Three out of touch, white lawyer males, all with an uncanny knack for coming across as complete a$$holes.

"The hypocrisy of the Left knows no bounds"

This article relies on you not having a memory or a brain.

The dems, including Shumer and Hillary, supported the Secure Fence Act because it was just one part of Comprehensive immigration reform.

They supported amnesty as well. They supported Ag Jobs, They supported raising the quota on the H1B and H2B. They supported the Dreamers. They supported Real ID.

For the full story on this, you need to go back to that time and look at the actual legislation the senate passed which was called Hegel-Martinez. What all was in it and how the McCain-Kennedy legislation morphed into Hegel Martinez.

You also need to recall that Secure Fence Act turned to be far less effective than what they said.

When they were for it, they were also touting “shovel ready jobs” and they only backed these to allow funds to become available so they could steal them....

What this article means, the result, is that the existing law requires the building of the wall.

Shumer’s help is neither required nor desired. All that is required is letting of contracts and starting of construction
