Anybody who has followed these developments for the past 30 years sees China is preparing material on the chess board. Cruise missiles, ballistic anti-ship missiles, the J-20 stealth strike fighter, and now this long range AA missile. All these are area denial weapons to keep the US outside the first island chain.
This missile appears to be an Anti-Radiation missile like our HARM.This is not a dog fighting missile since it has inadaquate maneuvering control surfaces.
It appears to be used for attacking stationary targets only.
