I remembered a story I heard in my Marketing class, about how Gerber had problems selling their product in Africa. They used the same packaging as they did in the US, with the baby on the label. Later, they learned that in Africa companies routinely put pictures of the ingredients on the label, since many people can’t read.

Imagine...after all the money “dumped there” for all the essentials ...and basic education is not present....gives new meaning to a dark hole...or moneypit.
