Jill Stein’s guilty conscience

Jill Stein must be feeling guilty. AFP reports:

The former Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein has raised the necessary $1.1 million to request a vote recount in Wisconsin, her campaign announced Thursday.

The Midwestern state was a key battleground in the November 8 election, helping propel the Republican President-elect Donald Trump past his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton to a victory that shocked the nation.

Donald Tump won Wisconsin by 22,000, but the Green Party won 31,000 votes in the state. In Michigan, Trump won by 11,000, but Stein got 51,000. In Pennsylvania, she got 49,000 votes, and margin was 70,000.

So her ridiculous campaign can be blamed for Clinton losing two states, but not the third (she did not impact outcome in Florida either).

Still think she's somehow in cahoots with the clintoon bunch. This would allow hildabeast plausible deniability that she was the actual sore loser. Look for jilly to somehow all of a sudden have a lakefront house in some tranquil setting. She wasn't on the ballot at all in NV.

I’ve worked for 3d party candidates. 95% of votes for a 3d party candidate are not FOR that candidate. They are votes AGAINST the 2 major party candidates. Clearly that was more so this election than any other.

Stein votes were more specifically against Hillary than anything else.

Good point. Stein voters may have stayed home rather than vote for Hillary!

Of course she’s feeling guilty. Ross Perot arguably put Bill Clinton in the White House in 1992. Ralph Nader arguably put GWB in the White House in 2000. Jill Stein arguably put Trump over the top. The fringers never learn.

Agree she is in cahoots with the Clintons somehow - or maybe they coerced her.

She shouldn’t fret; it’s the votes for Harambe that put Trump over the top :-)

I actively encouraged Dems that were not feeling Hillary to vote third party or here in NV “None of the above”.

It seems forgotten that Stein got half a million votes in 2012, and that Johnson got over a million then. It’s pretty clear that neither ran for president in 2016 to hurt Trump.

You’re right; with what we know today, there is no reason NOT to suspect she is now a paid employee of Clinton Inc.

Most of those that voted for her would not have voted for Hillary. It was not like they were voting for Jill. It was a vote against Hillary.

Some Clinton associate discovered her price, or reminded her of the fate of those who get in the way of the Clinton crime family.

They always like to point out how someone affects the Rat’s chances to win, but fail to mention how republicans are affected.
I would think that Johnson voters would have gone 60-40 for Trump.
In Wisconsin that would have given Trump an additional 20K votes over the beast.
It would have given Trump 6K more votes in NH, erasing the deficit he lost by.

She's not feeling guilty. She knows there no chance whatsoever that her recount crusade will net the tens of thousands of vote necessary to swing three states to Hillary. Hell, she's not even promising a recount, saying instead that money raised will go to future election integrity measures.

Striking while the iron's hot, she's taking advantage of an opportunity to fill Green Party coffers with cash from despondent voters. That's all.

Ross Perot arguably put Bill Clinton in the White House in 1992.

Whether Perot, Nader, Stein or Johnson, fringe candidates are by definition anti-establishment. Major party candidates have no one to blame but themselves. I have no beef against Perot. Bush lost because Bush sucked.

Nationwide, about 5 million more people voted against Hillary than voted for her.

My take on this is that the people who voted for Stein wanted Bernie, and wouldn’t have voted for Hillary in any case. The people who voted for Johnson might or might not have voted for Trump, because what they wanted was to feel morally superior to Trumpsters (cf “Glenn Beck”); without Johnson, they either would have wrote in someone else, or stayed home.

Not that my take is worth anything :-) what really matters is what happened, and what happened is that Trump won, and that means the Left has to spend the next 4-8 years discrediting his win, because like the scene from Citizen Kane, it’s either “Our Candidate Won” or “Fraud At Polls!”.

NO MORE HILLARY

Best holiday present of all. Ding dong the witch is D-E-A-D politically. She will continue to make appearances, but only as washed-up celebrity, a la Algore, so that we can point and laugh.
