Again?! Posted about 6 hours ago.
Didn’t he author ‘Blood on the Badge’?
Yes, watched Barney Miller religiously.
BOB
We still watch the repeats every night. Love that show......RIP “Harris”......
Heard a Fox radio news report this afternoon where the young lady reading the news said he starred in the sitcom Barney Frank
Your Sugar Daddy or something?
Absolutely loved Shepherd Derrial Book (not Derrial Brook as shown above) in Firefly. Shepherd Book and Jayne Cobb were my favorite characters on the show. They’ll probably not show how Book was so well connected with the Alliance. I also loved him as Det. Ron Harris in Barney Miller. I’ll miss Ron Glass. He was always fun to watch.
loved watching Barney Miller with my parents... i was in junior high school... loved how New York-y it was... Harris—sarcastic and quite the dandy with his designer clothes...
haha!
Ron Glass to me he WAS Shepard Book.
Book: I’ve been out of the abbey two days. I’ve beaten a lawman senseless. Fallen in with criminals. I watched the captain shoot the man I swore to protect. And I’m not even sure if I think he was wrong.
Mal: Well, what about you, Shepherd? How come you’re flying about with us brigands? I mean, shouldn’t you be off bringing religiosity to the fuzzy-wuzzies or some such?
Book: Oh, I got heathens aplenty right here,
Book: A government is a body of people usuallynotablyungoverned.
Zoe: Preacher, dont the Bible have some pretty specific things to say about killin?
Book: Quite specific. It is, however, somewhat fuzzier on the subject of kneecaps.
Capt. Malcolm Reynolds: Ah, hell, Shepherd, I ain’t looking for help from on high. That’s a long wait for a train don’t come.
Shepherd Book: Why when I talk about belief, why do you always assume I’m talking about God?
Shepherd Book: I don’t care what you believe in, just believe in it.
Rest in peace Shepard, They can take the sky from you.
He was very much a gentleman and very popular at Sci-Fi conventions (where I met him).
“Serentiy” rocks!
“Barney Miller” - good clean humor and a wonderful cast
He will be missed
He came across as a very, very nice guy! I don’t think you can fake that.
RIP, Detective Harris.
Now that I'M old, I do a reasonable Fish ... but no one knows who I'm impersonating.
I do a good Salmon, just for the Halibut!
Barney Miller was one of the funniest, if not, THE funniest shows ever on TV.
