By slowing down the “new final results” could mean the Electors in those 3 states will not be able to cast their votes for Trump and could delay/stop the inauguration.
Only if they can do it to all and drop him below 270 - then it goes to the Congress and they will have managed to disenfranchise the voters of 3 States - something that is not likely to go over well with these typically-not-red States......
