If Cooper filed as a write-in, he would have gotten a vote. Votes for him, Mickey Mouse, Tom Izzo, Donald Duck, Kid Rock, Bob Ritchie, or Ted Nugent don't count.

One of my good friends who is a fairly big name in the GOP wrote in Tom Izzo for one local office against a RINO. The RINO was unopposed in the general election, although challenged in the primary. It didn't count because Coach Izzo didn't file for office.
