Retired Army Gen. David Petraeus said President-elect Trump demonstrated a "great grasp" of foreign affairs following a meeting with him Monday in Trump Tower.

"I was with him for about an hour. He basically walked us around the world. Showed a great grasp of a variety of the challenges that are out there and some of the opportunities as well," Petraeus told reporters as he left the Manhattan skyscraper Monday afternoon.
The former CIA director is a rumored contender for secretary of state. Mitt Romney and Rudy Giuliani are also in contention for the coveted position, although Trump's inner circle appears split between the two divergent picks.
"Very good conversation and we'll see where it goes from here," Petraeus said after his meeting. "We'll see where it goes from here."
The president-elect tweeted that he was "very impressed" with Petraeus shortly after the two parted ways on Monday.
Trump is set to meet with Romney for the second time on Tuesday amid speculation that the former GOP nominee is one of the president-elect's final candidates for the secretary of state nomination.
Sen. Bob Corker, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, will also meet with Trump on Tuesday in Manhattan.

WTH? I wasn’t calling him that...just trying to say since he met with Trump....the left will be calling him that.
I guess I should have worded it that way?

"General Petraeus did betray no one. As a matter of fact he was betrayed by that arrogant pos occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave."Petraeus betrayed his sworn oath to defend the Constitution. He was a treasonous servant of the Usurper Obama.

Hillary lite. Picking him would be like ‘slowing the rate of growth’ of the swamp instead of draining it

The CIA contractors who died at Benghazi also had no comment about the former Director’s efforts to tell the truth about their deaths and bring justice
