This morning was the second time that Ivanka quite possibly will be “playing the role of First Lady”. Not likin’ that. It’s creepy. I’m beginning to feel that Melania has a great deal of disdain for her new country and that living in the White House would be slumming.
I don’t see that.
What I see is creepy liberal ambition on Ivanka’s part.
I think Melania has a great deal of love for her new country. But a few times during the campaign I've gotten the feeling that she can't break through the Donald/Ivanka bond. Early in the campaign he used to mention Ivanka in every speech, not Melania. I think someone told him to cut that out because it stopped. (He still didn't mention Melania).
Anyway, I don't think there's any reason for Ivanka to play first lady. I fully expect Melania, who'll be 45 minutes from the WH for the first few months, to be the one hosting WH events and travelling abroad with the President.
Besides, I think Ivanka has her eye on the chief of staff post. :^)
