“Federal court saying it should continue”

Fed court ruled only that the recount should start on Monday and not wait until Wednesday. That was the only issue before the Fed court. The Fed court was operating under the assumption at the time of their ruling (12:30 am early Monday morning) that the recount had been legally authorized by the MI Board of State Canvassers; however, the MI Court of Appeals has now ruled that the recount is illegal and that no count at all should occur, so the issue of whether the recount should have started on Monday or on Wednesday is mooted.
