Hillary Clinton on Thursday decried the spread of fake news online, calling it an “epidemic” that Congress should take action against.
“The epidemic of malicious fake news and false propaganda that flooded social media over the past year — it’s now clear the so-called fake news can have real-world consequences,” Clinton said during a speech on Capitol Hill.
Some Democrats have argued the spread of anti-Clinton fake news online contributed to her electoral loss to Donald Trump.
The issue has received renewed attention this week after a gunman entered a pizzeria in Washington that was at the center of a false viral conspiracy theory that alleged it was home to a pedophilia ring operated by Clinton and her inner circle.
“This isn’t about politics or partisanship,” Clinton continued during her speech Thursday at a ceremony honoring retiring Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.).
“Lives are at risk — lives of ordinary people just trying to go about their days, to do their jobs, contribute to their communities.”
“It’s a danger that must be addressed and addressed quickly,” she said.

So who decides what is fake news and what is true? Liberals??
Liberals foisted some big fakes on us. Remember the meme about Michael Brown, and “hands up don’t shoot”, which never happened???? Yet the false narrative there resulted in riots and destruction in Ferguson.
yes, Hillary is right, there are real world consequences to the fake news which liberals spew out.

If he keeps to just half of the promises he made, a WHOLE BUNCH of Democrats whose names you know are looking at very long Prison terms.

So what’s she saying??? Is Hillary implying that she lost the election due to fake news, due to people not knowing the truth about her, and her candidacy, and what she would do as president??????
Is she also implying that if only people knew the truth about her, that she would have won??? Isn’t it the job of politicians and their surrogates, to campaign and get the word out there, about what they stand for, and convince people to vote for them???? Aren’t all campaigns adversarial, in that, the opposition will criticize you??? Hillary can’t stand the heat of a campaign??? What the heck are we really saying here????

They still control the MSM but fewer people are buying their bull every day. Now they either find a way to control (as in stop) the free exchange of ideas on the internet or they lose the battle for hearts and especially minds. “Fake news” is just them prepping the battlefield for the coming attempt to take that freedom away from us.

We should list all the MSM fake news that has resulted in violence or deaths. We could begin with the “hands up, don’t shoot” lie. Then the “BLM is peaceful” lie. Then the lie that the Family Research Council is an “extremist” organization. The lie that Trump is a racist, a Nazi, and an anti-Semite. The lie that Trump made fun of a handicapped person. And so on.

I propose detention of those who disseminate fake news and reeducation of those who read it. Sounds like a good start for a totalitarian bitch like Hitlery.

It really started with email a decade or so ago, but has really ramped up with facebook and social media. You know those crazy facebook news stories your one Aunt posts and even though she’s a Republican you still roll your eyes at how ridiculous they are. It comes from both sides. People aren’t getting their news from the old traditional ways anymore where someone can get fired or should be for false reporting.
Nowadays you can pretty much throw anything out there with no repercussion, and it sticks with half the people who are either too lazy to verify or sadly uneducated to not fall for it.
And really a lot of this was just political mudslinging from the election we just went through, and it might quiet down now that it’s over.
Why is Hillary giving speeches on Capital Hill? She should be in prison.
