Great Clif Notes- and I mean that as a compliment.

I’ve been away for far too long to have a respectable question at the ready. On second thought, were the attempts to get at the records in Cairo, done from afar, as in cyber avenues, and or via snail mail requests? Has there been any boots on the ground? Are the records off limits to infidels?

I’ve a confession to make, I had in my possession the directory listings for the girl and her mother in Cairo. Saved in my photo file on my computer. Just two snippets written in the language of the educated of the time. French.
My computer contracted a virus. Don’t know how it happened, I did have AVG security installed at the time.
Virus wiped all saved material.
Can’t remember where the directory listings came from. Been looking ever since.
Fat chance of finding a directory for Cairo for that period. Who wants to volunteer to go to the Cairo Library?
Polarik tried, said it wasn’t possible.
